VARIODRIVE Compact VDC-3-49.15 K5

As the first electronically commutated external rotor motor with integrated CANopen interface, ebm-papst is presenting its VARIODRIVE Compact VDC-3-49.15 K5 line. Building on the successful basic model with sensitive sine commutation, the extension with open communications interface provides the prerequisites for flexible and efficient use in a wide range of different fields of automation systems.

Based on the familiar CANopen Standard DS402, different motion profiles can be programmed and controlled with speed, torque and position. Programming functionality and 3 digital inputs further extend the adaptation possibilities for many different applications. For commissioning and parameter programming of the drives, ebm-papst offers the straightforward and intuitive PC tool "Kickstart" as an accessory.

Together with the multi-pole motor versions of the VDC-3-49.15 series with up to 250 mNm nominal torque and nominal output power of up to 100 W, extremely compact high-performance drive systems in many different configurations can be realised. The combination with different gearbox designs additionally allows the adaptation to different operating points and conditions.
